An interesting AU. There are some changes in some of the characters backstory. The most obvious it the one for Petunia. Petunia apparently didn't hate her sister for being a witch (Vernon is still jumpy around magic but is able to put up with Harry). There are other changes but I don't want to spoil too much for you. Dumbledore is not a nice person in this story and his manipulative nature is more obvious and people are becoming aware of his nature without the help of Rita Skeeter but by observing his actions. There is Dumbledore and Ron bashing (the rest of the Weasleys are portrayed as good).

An interesting do over story. Harry and Ginny are given a chance to do things over. The decide to go back to when both of them may have been at a zoo at the same time when they were little (I find it hard to believe that Harry could remember seeing a group of red haired people when he was 5). They do a good job at trying not to let others know they are from the future but they slip twice and three people end up knowing (I won't say who). Overall a good story.

Recommender's comments: An alternate year one story. The change starts with Harry's sorting. He is sorted into both Gryffindor and Slytherin. Madam Pomphrey notices the glamors and has him taking to the hospital wing where it is revealed that they were hiding numerous injuries that Harry has recieved from being abused by the Dursleys. Snape agrees to be Harry's gardian. The events at Hogwarts play out more or less the same except Harry isn't directly involved in them. After Harry's first year, Snape comes up with a plan for him and Harry to go backwards in time and prevent Harry from ever living with the Dursleys by killing Voldemort before he has has the chance to kill Harry's parents. The story shows a little of the side of Dumbledore that does things for the "Greater Good". For example, after its discovered the Dursleys were abusing Harry, he insists that Harry continues to live with them and then on Harry's 12th birthday, shortly before Harry and Snape go backwards in time, it's revealed that he knew that James Potter wasn't Harry's real father but Snape was.

This is one of the few Slytherin!Harry stories I've read where Snape is friendly to Harry from the moment they met. There are a lot of typos and the chapters are realy short at first but if I recall starting with chapter 11, they get to a resonable length (1000+). Chapter 14 is the longest. Its defenitly over 5000 words but I'm not sure. I haven't bothered to count. The plot is interesting. Harry is friends with Draco, Ron, and Hermione at first but Neville, Blaze Zambini, and Pansy Parkinson join the group. Milcent Billstrude takes Draco's roll as the primary rival to the gang.
